It’ll be on 17th of May from 9AM to 5PM. Meet-up time is at 7AM at Starbucks Petron-Dasmarinas Village (at the corner of EDSA and Arnaiz Avenue) so we can carpool to the venue and maybe get some breakfast on one of the many service stations along the SLEX.

Please prepare PhP 325 for admission (unfortunately the park does not offer discounted group rates during peak season) and around PhP 200 for meals (more if you eat a lot lol). Please keep in mind that the park does not allow guests to bring in food or drinks of any kind, so please leave the bento boxes at home.

It’s funny how the article was published in November of last year and yet I’ve never seen it till GOOGLE coughed up the link five minutes ago. It’s mostly because I’m not all that interested in local celebrities — but that’s not the point. The point is, if the latest (okay — maybe not anymore) PENSHOPPE campaign was based on PINKY:ST, it should bear a second look.

I might hop over to MALL OF ASIA later today to ease my curiosity (and grab a box of KRISPY KREME doughnuts while I’m at it), but I’m telling you guys right now that I’m setting my expectations a tad low. If I remember correctly, that campaign was sort of forgettable — it’s more reminiscent of 60’s Tagalog komiks rather than contemporary HARAJUKU aesthetic. So yeah — anybody wanna tag along?

Moving on, the 2nd KP Anniversary Meet-up is slated for the 26th of January from 3PM to 5PM at the Washington Sycip Park in Legaspi Village, Makati City.

I still have to ask around if we have to get a permit to stay there as a fairly large group, but since it’s a public park I suppose as long as we don’t make a mess and don’t make too much noise it should be fine.

The party will be potluck-style, and we require everyone to bring boxed lunches good for four to six people. Finger food and stuff that can be eaten without utensils is preferred. Drinks can be bought at the corner convenience store cold so it really isn’t a problem. A discussion covering our menu is currently going on at the FLICKR forum. Please have a look around to see your potluck options for the picninc.

Newbies are encouraged to come as we will be awarding the winner of the Adoption Campaign with their very own Series 6 girl! Remember that to qualify for the contest you must be a new member of good standing, participate actively in onsite activities, and have less than six original PINKYs to their name (FAKEYs are not counted but not unloved :D).
